Omega Finney chose McDonough in 2005 because of its affordable housing, excellent school system and overall great community. She immediately felt at home here and knew it was the ideal place to raise her daughter. She deeply believes that all current and new McDonough residents should have access to affordable growth opportunities.

I'm running for City Council because I love McDonough, it's where I've made my home and raised my daughter. This city means a lot to me. My mom was a Nurse, and as a second-generation Nurse myself, I learned from her how important it is to care for people and the things you value. McDonough is seeing remarkable growth, which is positive. However, careful planning is crucial for sustainable development for present and future residents—families and young people alike. I want to focus on making sure everyone has access to affordable opportunities to grow and succeed.

Together, we can build a brighter future for McDonough by focusing on three key areas:

Intentional Growth and Planning

We need to strike a balance between development and neighborhood preservation. I'll work to ensure that growth is intentional, citizen-centric, and protective of our city's history.

Whether you've been here forever, just moved in, are starting out, raising a family, or enjoying retirement, let's all pitch in to make McDonough the best it can be now and in the future. I promise to be honest, transparent, actively listen, communicate, and be accountable.
